Mutable Flesh
This project challenges the restrictive ideals placed on the body in fashion. I explored how silhouette and proportion shape how bodies are read, valued, and gendered. Through sculptural padding and moulage draping, I distorted the dress form to create exaggerated, ambiguous shapes that resist classical symmetry and containment. The resulting garments show the body as fluid and adaptive. The work invites reflection on why bodies are expected to remain fixed, legible, and controlled.
